Many of you have been here since the early days of my little blog I started back in 2016 – and for that, I thank you! Over the years, you’ve followed my journey through culinary school, new recipes, local magazine features, and now my work as a board-certified functional nutritionist.
Approaching my 10th year of blogging, I’ve decided to move my weekly meal planning and writing to Substack – a platform that celebrates writing and community rather than algorithms.
After six weeks of posting there twice weekly, I’m certain this is the right home for my work. I’m spending less time on social media (maybe you, too?) and more time connecting directly with readers – friends, family, and kind strangers – in a cozy corner of the internet where I can truly share.
✨ What You’ll Find on My Substack
Monday Menu
My weekly meal plan series is filled with make-ahead tips, family favorites, and seasonal inspiration. I’ve been meal planning for over 20 years, and these posts are a modern version of my old “what’s for dinner” calendars – now adapted for our Emptier Nest.
Friday Favorites
A fun weekly list of cookbooks, kitchen tools, ingredients, and recipes I love. Nothing sponsored, just honest recommendations from my kitchen to yours.
💌 Why Subscribe
If you’ve been looking for my meal plans here on the blog, you’ll now find them on Substack, where I can post more consistently and easily link back to trusted recipes – including my own on Food Family Friends.
You can read posts right on the website or download the Substack app for easy access on your phone or tablet. Subscriptions are free, and you’ll get both Monday and Friday posts delivered straight to your inbox.
